At the end of the week, after you’ve worked 40 hours or more, you feel tired and over-worked. During the working days, the time for relaxation and rest is down to a minimum, so we don’t really have time to dedicate to ourselves and our close ones. We’re all Economic Slaves and that’s just bad.
While this process lasts, we lose our identities, our hobbies, and interests, the things that bring us pleasure. In that rush to finish all the tasks, to meet the deadlines, we simply forget to make a pause. At the same time, big firms and corporations get richer, and make a lot of profit.
Now, let’s review things for a little bit and try to find the root of this.
Economic Slaves and Inflation
Inflation is a term used for the situation of reduced value of the dollar. When this happens the US government requests a loan from the Federal Reserve when needs money to wage some kind of war.
Then, the Fed purchases bonds from the government in the amount requested, and then it prints our treasury bonds, while the Fed prints money.
Therefore, these two trade and the government deposits the money to another bank, which in turn charges fees and interest. This procedure is reducing the value of the dollar, so the country is in debt. One of the most retarded things If you ask me, this is one of the reasons we’re becoming Economic Slaves and inflation should be totally off the hook.
When the debt grows, the cost of living grows as well, and we are then in a cycle. Then, we panic and accept a 40-hour job when we see no other solution to succeed. I mean, 40 hours job and we’re going to save the Economic problem? I mean, you can only dream about that, since people are not going to improve anything, instead, they’ll just become slaves.
Studies have shown that workers accomplish only three hours of actual work out of eight hours they have to stay at work. However, our wages are dropping constantly, while the profits of these corporations are increasing.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that this year, in the 3rd quarter, productivity raised by 2.3 percent -the highest percent in the last 85 years, while hourly pay only fell by 1.3 percent.
Now, what is the reason for our low pay, while we work more?
Dictionary.com defines this term as follows:
“the fact or practice of an increasing consumption of goods.”
While this is considered as positive, which it was, some time ago, these days it has negative effects, and we are living in constant debts.
We are buying more, but earning less, the only ones getting richer are corporations and banks. They push a “buy, buy, buy” mentality for years and years, and exploit our desires.
Have you been indulged in the practice: “buy now, pay later”? Well, that’s what they are forcing us to do with the money we don’t have, and just fall into bigger debts.
Working during days and evenings, this is not going to change anything except making us the slaves no one wants to become. This is not going to change anything about the economic situation. Literally.
We grow bored and purchase things we don’t even need just to get a moment of joy and make the material our priority. We grow with insecurity and struggle with serious psychological issues because we don’t sleep and eat well, and the consequence, is on us, and us only.
But who will change the world for us? We are the only ones who can do it, starting from changing our own lives. Today is the day. Tell us what you think in the comments down below, they are the only thing we need to understand eachother!
